Happy 20th Birthday Infragistics!

Company maintains worldwide leadership for 20 years; Kicks off innovative advertising campaign

Princeton, N.J. & Elstree, United Kingdom – November 17, 2009
— Infragistics, a world leader in user interface (UI) development tools and experts in the User Experience (UX) market, today celebrates its 20th Birthday. Starting with Windows 2.0 and moving through to today's .NET platforms, Infragistics' focus on helping developers create great UIs has enabled the company to attain and maintain its worldwide leadership position.

"Creating a positive experience is intrinsic in everything we do. By empowering our customers with the best .NET software tools and services we help them to design the experience they want for their customers, using software & technology to support their business objectives and brand," said Dean Guida, CEO of Infragistics. "We are the largest UI solution provider with the longest history in the component space and we understand that it's about great products and superior value-added services that keep our customers dedicated to Infragistics."

Palm Beach Software Design, a prominent custom software development and design organization, has been an Infragistics lifetime customer, using the company's UI development tools even before competing companies ProtoView and Sheridan Software merged in 2000 to create Infragistics.

"We've been using Infragistics NetAdvantage for .NET product suites since the company's inception and find that the visually-stunning aspects of Infragistics User Interface component toolsets, coupled with exceptional support and online resources, help us to retain long-term clients and win new business," said Mark Turkel, President and Senior Software Architect, Palm Beach Software Design. "Our clients depend on us to develop great looking and fully-functioning User Interfaces as part of our custom software applications. With Infragistics controls, we can focus on solving our clients' unique business application needs and deliver UIs with the best user experiences possible."

As part of its birthday celebration, Infragistics also launched a new advertising campaign centered on Gort, the champion for developers everywhere who strive to create UIs that are the foundation for Killer Apps--applications with extreme functionality, complete usability and the wow-factor.

As a prequel to the advertising campaign, Infragistics created interactive games and an animated comic book that details Gort’s beginnings as Dean Guida, a young hard-working agile developer finalizes code for an elegant little application.

Gort is realized in Infragistics new Killer Apps Community Technology Preview that contains NetAdvantage WPF controls re-engineered for Microsoft Surface. Live demos and ongoing birthday celebrations will take place during Microsoft Professional Developers Conference (PDC), November 17 – 19, 2009 at Infragistics booth #301.
