Product Guidance is the department responsible for creating materials that Infragistics’ customers use to learn our products and explore how our controls interact in the real world. In Product Guidance you:

  • Create application samples showcasing our controls in context of real-world applications
  • Create product samples demonstrating how to use and extend Infragistics controls
  • Write a about Infragistics controls and features
  • Learn the latest controls and technologies from the industry’s top component vendor

In Product Guidance your work is used by the masses:

  • Your code guides tens of thousands of customers looking to learn about each product release
  • Your application design teaches customers how to build professional-grade applications using Infragistics controls
  • Your writing appears on our website in the form of blog posts, help topics and forum responses

Responsibilities

  • Code:
    • Write samples to support documentation topics
    • Create samples that appear in product samples
    • Develop application samples
    • Maintain startup solutions
    • Generate class diagrams
    • Track and resolve bugs
    • Adhere to established code conventions
  • Write documentation topics
    • Track and resolve bugs in documentation
    • Adhere to established writing and style guidelines
  • Organize review of API docs
    • Work with Engineering to ensure quality standards are met
    • Work with Localization team for translation
    • Help facilitate copy editing
  • Assist the Localization team
    • Ensure the highest quality in translating and posting content
  • Help devise content plan
    • Work with PG Manager, PM, IxD and Engineering to help decide what is documented in each release

Qualifications

  • Excellent Knowledge of object oriented programming and design (2 + years)
  • Solid knowledge of the .NET framework and C# language (2+ years)
  • Microsoft® Visual Studio™ 2008 or higher
  • Experience in ASP.NET or XAML technologies (WPF/Silverlight) is a plus
