Application Developer, Product Guidance (Cranbury, NJ)

Product Guidance is the department responsible for creating materials that Infragistics’ customers use to learn our products and explore how our products interact in the real world. We are seeking a motivated Application Developer in Product Guidance to work in the Windows Forms team located at our headquarters in Cranbury, NJ.

In Product Guidance you:

  • Create application samples showcasing our controls in context of real-world applications
  • Create product samples demonstrating how to use and extend Infragistics’ controls
  • Write official documentation for Infragistics’ controls and features
  • Learn the latest controls and technologies from the industry’s top component vendor

In Product Guidance your work is used by the masses:

  • Your writing appears on our website in the form of product documentation, blog posts, and forum responses
  • Your code guides tens of thousands of customers looking to learn about each product release
  • Your application design teaches customers how to build professional-grade applications using Infragistics’ controls

Responsibilities

  • Code
    • Write samples to support documentation topics
    • Create samples that appear in product samples
    • Develop application samples
    • Track and resolve bugs
  • Write documentation topics
    • Write official help documentation for Infragistics’ products
    • Write technical blog posts
    • Track and resolve bugs in documentation
    • Adhere to established writing and style guidelines
  • Organize review of API docs
    • Work with Engineering to ensure quality standards are met
    • Work with Localization team for translation
    • Help facilitate copy editing
  • Assist the Localization team
    • Ensure the highest quality in translating and posting content
  • Help devise content plans
    • Work with PG Manager, Product Management, Interaction Design and Engineering departments to help decide what is documented in each release

Qualifications

  • 2 + years' experience with object oriented programming and design;
  • 2 + years' experience with .NET framework and C# language;
  • 2 + years' experience with Windows Forms technologies;
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Microsoft® Visual Studio™ 2008 or higher;
  • XAML experience desired;
  • MS SQL server development experience desired.
