Modernize An Existing Java-based Banking Application

One of the largest US-based banks had a need to modernize an existing Java-based application. The program provided real-time tracking of the health of the bank's online systems such as their online banking platforms. The legacy system worked well, but was 15 years old. The bank's IT staff wanted to push the envelope and demonstrate internally how far this application could be taken by following cutting-edge design and development. Because of its operation-critical nature, the user experience of the application had to be supreme for the internal users. The bank had twice tried to re-design the application in-house, but found it hard to discover other ways to portrayed their features and functions on the UI. So they referred to D3 for help.
