I'd like to add that this obscure error has been noted in the "Known Issues & Limitations" help topic for quite a long time now.

For example take a look at help.infragistics.com/.../Known_Issues_and_Limitations_2012_Volume_2.html - the section titled "Grid API calls do not work as expected with DIV elements solution".

There are a lot of details on a lot of tricky situations and gotchas that a developer can encounter when using controls such as the igGrid.

Thank you, this is fantastic, but I really really wish someone in Infragistics would follow your example and create genuinely useful documentation like this for the rest of the control set. The level of documentation especially for client-side code is extremely poor it is something.
