If you haven't heard the news already, Microsoft announced the release of Beta 1 of the next major release of Visual Studio, Visual Studio 2010.

Visit the Visual Studio 2010 home page to get a complete list of what's new in this next iteration of the IDE and in the .NET Framework 4.0.

We have been testing against certain scenarios with the early CTP's of Visual Studio 2010, and we have been working hand in hand with Microsoft in making sure all of our controls work flawlessly with Visual Studio 2010 throughout its beta cycle and through the release.  In fact, Microsoft has actually fixed several bugs in the IDE based on their testing with our controls.  Over the next 6 weeks we will be regression testing all of our controls against beta 1, and looking for bugs that we haven't found in the CTP's.  Before the Visual Studio 2008 launch, many of the issues in the beta's were around controls on the design surface.  We seem to be in really good shape with those scenarios with the current Visual Studio 2010 CTP's, but we won't know for sure until after we get the complete regression testing completed.

If you are using VS 2010 and are running into any issues, let us know so we can get on top of the problems early, we will take the bugs you find and make sure they get fixed for the RTM of Visual Studio 2010.  If you have any questions on Visual Studio 2010 or need any more information on what we are doing to ensure compatibility, shoot me an email at jasonb@infragistics.com.
