We have a vb.net application which was developed in 2003. we have used Infragistics framework v7.3 in our application. this application works in IE8 perfectly but in IE11 it does not work perfectly like sorting , searching and some functionality doesn't work in IE11. So how can I resolve this problem.

The application which is developed in 2003 using framework V7.3 will not support IE11.
According to infragistics support document if an environment is not listed, the Product is not tested, bug-fixed, or supported in that environment, you can have a look:

I would like you to upgrade yor project to supported enviornment to make it run on IE11.

To upgrade your project, I would recommend to replace your DLLs to the latest build 16.1.
Migrate your old control (UltraWebGrid)to new supported controls (WebDataGrid, WebHierarchicalDataGrid).

Could you, please tell me how many dll files i have to replace for this upgradations and could you please tell me that should I copy the dll from this path "c:\program Files(x86)\Infragistics\2016.1\ASP.NET\CLR4.0\bin" or "c:\program Files(x86)\Infragistics\2016.1\ASP.NET\CLR4.0\bin-signed". please help me to sort out this problem.

To begin using the WebDataGrid it is first necessary to set up the references to your project so that you can use the current volume of the WebDataGrid in your application. In the simplest scenario you can just add this one assembly and the dependent documents assemblies to your application and start using the control. To do this add the following references:
Infragistics4.Web.v16.1
Infragistics4.WebUI.Documents.Word.v16.1
Infragistics4.WebUI.Documents.Core.v16.1
Infragistics4.WebUI.Documents.IO.v16.1
Infragistics4.WebUI.Documents.Reports.v16.1
Infragistics4.WebUI.Documents.Excel.v16.1
You have to copy the dlls from the path : “c:\program Files(x86)\Infragistics\2016.1\ASP.NET\CLR4.0\bin”

Between version 7.3 to 16.1 lots of changes has been made, lots of controls have been retired like UltraWebGrid, WebDateChooser. There is no one to one mapping between the controls itself. You cannot use old assembly’s and their namespaces. To know the assembly name for individual controls in 16.1 I would recommend you to refer following document.

or you can select any control and then through the ‘API overview ‘section get the namespace for that control as:

how to update Infragistics35.Web.v10.2, Version=10.2.20102.1011 to latest so web data grid works in IE11 without any compatibility issue.
I have an issue with webdata grid not getting updated when compatibility is off. Code works fine in compatibility on.
