Hi,
In my web application there is a menu. It is a custom menu. QTP is not identifying the menu item either by coding or recording. I can able to click on menu and unable to select the menu items. I heard that using web extensibility we can solve this problem. Can any one suggest me or given me example how achieve this.
Thanks in Advance
Regards
Kiran
Even I am facing the same problem on a desktop application. Could you please let me know were you able to solve it?

Hi Rushabh,
I got it using the vb script. we should write script to identify the custom object.
Hi Kiran,
Thanks for your reply.
It would be great if you could point me to some reference whcih i can use to dig into this.
I am just a newbie in using QTP so do not know much about it.
Tell me your requirement, means what kind of custom object it is.
Even i was very new to QTP, i worked on that project for 2 months only. As per my knowledge you should make use of VB Scripting to work with custom objects.
Or go with Web Extensibility. I heard this is not a correct approach.
Give me your requirement i will think and update you.
I am automating a WPF Desktop Application and there are a few DevExpress grids in it. These grids are not getting recognized by the QTP. So i need to find out a way to deal with it.
One way is to use the way QTP recognizes it as some basic object and then make some manipulation based on requirement.
Thanks again.
