I have been looking through your scenario and created a sample project based on your description. In the attached file (XamRibbonCommands.zip) a command is used in order a text to be displayed. This command is bound to the GalleryTool using an interaction. If ‘Item 1’ or ‘Item 2’ is clicked the command will be executed.
