with shareplus is it possible to yust go save as > location in the finder?

I'm not sure I understand the workflow you're trying to follow, but with SharePlus you can browse your SharePoint documents, open them in SharePlus Mac, edit them, and save them back to SharePoint (requires Office for Mac 2011: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj984161(v=office.14).aspx)
You may also add documents from Finder to SharePoint via SharePlus (Add document or Drag and Drop) and vice versa.
