I have created a custom template that I am using on level 1 nodes.
It renders perfectly inside each node and I have put controls inside the template. Every control except the checkbox cannot be edited.
For example. I want a label and a dropdownlist inside my template. But I cannot make the dropdownlist function, it renders but the list never appears when pressing the button for the drop down list

Hello again, I have played a bit with your code and I came up with a working CodeSample changing the Markup only. I have created a couple of parent nodes and instantiate the templated controls inside each node. The WebDropDownList is populated and appears when selected. TextBox and input controls are editable and work as expected too. Please check the CodeSample which is attached. If the issue persists it could be Browser/browser version related. Also I have tested it under NetAdvantage 13.1. Thanks Ivaylo. Your example works when using 13.1. Unfortunately our app was written using 10.3 and it does not work in that version.
Any thoughts? it will not be a simple upgrade for our app as we used the ultrawebgrid extensively and it appears to me, that the ultrawebgrid is not part of 13.1 - it has been phased out. Is that correct?

Yes you are correct. The UltraWebGrid is considered part of retired Classic ASP.NET Controls and the last NetAdvantage version including it was NetAdvantage v.11.1. According to Infragistics Products Lifecycle Table v.10.3 already passed 3 years of Developer Support.

The retired Classic ASP.NET Controls should be manually replaced with the New Aikido-Based Controls.To get familiar with the NetAdvantage for ASP.NET Product Changes in 2011 Volume 2, I recommend this article:http://www.infragistics.com/community/blogs/taz_abdeali/archive/2011/11/17/asp-net-product-changes-in-2011-volume-2.aspx.It includes an overview for the Classic ASP.NET Controls as well as the New Aikido-Based Controls/Replacement.
