WebDataGrid ==> Filtering : get the filter choice on server side

Hi

Is it possible to know what a the filter choice selected by the user ?

Library 2013.2 version

webdataGrid with ExcelRowStyle set

One column with the filter correctly set. I can see a list a data available to be checked or not.

If I check, this is correctly filtered but I want to know which checkbox has been checked (in fact, I want to know what is the filter)

Is it possible ?

Thank you for contacting us.

Can I ask you do you want to get the filter on client side or server side.

For example if you want to get the filter on the client you can do this like:

ig_controls.WebDataGrid1.get_behaviors().get_filtering().get_columnFilter(0).get_condition().get_value()

This will return you the value that you've typed in the filter.

If you want to get the filter on the server you can do this like:

protected void WebDataGrid1_DataFiltered(object sender, Infragistics.Web.UI.GridControls.FilteredEventArgs e)

{

string filterValue = ((Infragistics.Web.UI.GridControls.RuleTextNode)(e.ColumnFilters[0].Condition)).Value;

TextFilterRules filterRule = ((Infragistics.Web.UI.GridControls.RuleTextNode)(e.ColumnFilters[0].Condition)).Rule;

}

Sometimes, I must say I don't know if you really take care of what customer says...

I'm using ExcelStyle filtering, so, there is nothing to enter in the filter... The filter is made of a checkbox list choice.

What I want to know is, how can I get the checkboxes that are checked on a filter ?

I suppose my question is quite simple.. no ? (even if the answer could become kind of tricky)

Hello,

Thank you for the clarifications.

The approach that I've recommended you in my previous response can give you the filter value and rule, although if filtering of type ExcelStyleFilter is used, then the collection ColumnFilters is empty. If you use simple RowFilter, you will be able to access them. I have asked our developers to examine this behavior.
I've opened a private case for you with number CAS-137068-W1X6M2 and have linked the development issue with number 171864 to it so that you'll be notified once the issue has been resolved.
You can find the case by going to your account on our web site and then to the "Support Activity" tab.
You can view the status of the development issue connected to that case by selecting the "Development Issues" tab when viewing this case.
