Used to be that selecting a view for a list was done by selecting the middle button at the very bottom of the screen. Then a panel would slide up showing all the available views to choose from. After selecting a view the panel would retreat down to the bottom of the screen. Simple. Two "mouse clicks" if you will.
With the new version, you now have to select the wrench in the upper right, this brings down a sliding panel with views, sort, viewinweb. Next select views, then scroll down past visualizations and then select the desired view. But wait there's more! After selecting the desired view the sliding panel is still there. So you need to tap the screen in order for the panel to go away. Not as simple. Two mouse clicks then a scroll then two more mouse clicks. It's a minor issue but it just feels so cumbersome.
It reminds me of that trend in stereo equipment where they replaced all the individual controls with one or two knobs. It looks nice but it just isn't as practical.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Infragistics.
I recommend posting this on our Product Ideas site (http://southlabs.uservoice.com/forums/114543-general) so other users can vote on the idea and our product management team can provide feedback.
Wow that was interesting. I tried going to the southlabs link and post the idea. I think I did but there was no confirmation. Trying to find the proper new idea screen was a pain as well. I guess Im just in a short tempered mood today.
