For eg search criteria -> Contains and values to be entered like – abc, bcd, efg
Right now we can enter only 1 value ie either abc/bcd/efg
Please do the needful asap

Concerning your first question, the closest the WebDataGrid has to this is Excel Style Filtering:

That allows you to filter on the items in the column. If you want to filter on partial values that would be a new product ideal:

Concerning your second question you can achieve this by creating an editor provider then in the filter behavior you would create column settings for the column you want to use the editor provider with:
