Hello,
I have one little issue when performing search in the grid (CTRL+F). Please find attach my sample.
Step to reproduce the issue:
1. Run the sample
2. Find one column which is not appearing in the screen (Example: "Res" for Réseau)
3. Result => the column "Réseau" is displayed but it's not the case for the data: only the header was scrolled :(
When I don't specify the WIDTH of the grid, it works fine.
However, I should explicitly set the both the width and height as I want to have the "Paging" features getting displayed on the screen even we scroll the grid.
Thx in advance for your help.
Regards,
Ainjaka
Hi Ainjaka,
Can you show me with an image to show what you mean by this: "Result => the column "Réseau" is displayed but it's not the case for the data: only the header was scrolled :("
When I run the sample, browsing with IE, I am finding that when using CTRL + F to find "Res", I see all the data in the rows of the Res column is found. I attached an image to show what I am seeing.
I will look forward to your update.
Thanks for your quick feedback.
So I think the issue occurs only when we use Chrome or Firefox. I also tested with IE and it's ok.
But we are using Chrome most of the time.
Can you please tell me what's the problem?
Thanks in advance,
Hello Zdravko,
I deleted all add-ons and extensions but still have the issue.
I think now that there is an incompatibility with some tools or the operating system used.
So, PFA my full sample. I could not test with the CDN files (infragistics, jquery...) because of slow internet connection.
Details of my environment:
- windows 7 64bits
- chrome v37
- firefox v31
- You see the versions of jquery, jquery-ui and infragistics tools in the sample.
Could you please test if the issue occurs on your side? If yes, thanks to investigate and revert back to us :)
Regard,
Hello Ainjaka,
Thank you for the provided sample.
I think that now I understand what the issue is. The issue is not with highlighting the results, the issue is that when there is a result in the invisible part of the grid, the focus remind the same and did not go forward to the result. Could you please confirm?
Truly when I remove the width option from grids definition the results are highlighted and forwarded correctly.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
This is happening because our igGrid (div#grid1_scroll) has style "overflow-x:hidden". In Firefox and Chrome this scenario will find texts which are now visible but will not scroll to them, because the stroller is hidden. In general this is Known Limitation for our igGrid.
Thanks for the update.
Finaly, Should I wait for a fix or a resolution? If no, can you propose us any alternative to find one column and scroll to it?
Thank you in advance,
We have asked our experts for such alternative and I will get back to you as soon as I have any information on the matter.
Thanks.
Ainjaka,
Our experts worked on this and let me know that you can remove the setting of the grid's height as this will workaround the issue.
Please let me know if you need any additional assistance.
I am just following up to see if you need further assistance on this matter.
Thank you for helping me to resolve the issue. I tested and it's fine now. Sorry for the late update.
