Hi,
I'm having a problem after turning on ExcelNavigationMode on grid updating. It works to go left/right fine but the up key only works once and then loses focus. So I hit up, it moves to the next row, but when I hit up again nothing happens. I have noticed it moving the scroll bar though if it exists. The same thing happens with the down key. Is there an example I can look at or is this a bug that needs fixing?
Thank you for your time.
Hello Collotto,
I've made a sample to test excelNavigationMode property and it seems to work properly on my side. What version of Ignite UI controls are you using?
I'm attaching a sample for your reference. Please test it on your side and let me know if you're able to reproduce the issue with it.
Waiting for your reply.
Regards,Tsanna
Hi Tsanna,
We are using IgniteUI version 14.2.20142.2140.
The sample you sent me works great but it's in row edit mode and we are using cell edit mode. If you change the sample's editMode to "cell", the behaviour I described is occurring.
Thanks for your time!
Yes, I changed the editMode property in the Updating features from row to cell and this behavior occurred.
Just click in the Product Name, scroll your mouse over to Product Number, and then click the down key. It will stop after going down once and lose focus. I'm having no problem recreating it.
I've included the sample you sent me changed to cell edit mode.
I'm not sure I can understand what you mean. What do you mean by "scroll your mouse to Product Number"? Excel navigation mode is used to navigate through the cells using arrow keys, not the mouse scrolling, while editing a cell. Please provide me some more detailed steps to reproduce the issue or send me a small video demonstrating it.
Regards,
Tsanna
When you move your mouse out of the column that is currently in edit-mode, it screws up the Excel Navigation with arrows. If you click a cell to edit it, then move your mouse over to another column, the Excel Navigation with arrows gets disrupted. You can press down once, then Excel Navigation stops.
Here are the steps:
1) Click a cell to edit it
2) Move your mouse to hover over another cell in a different column ex. Product Number
3) Click the down arrow twice. It stops after going down once.
If you can't reproduce the issue, I'll send a video.
Hi Collotto,
Have you been able to resolve your issue?
If I can provide further assistance, please let me know.
I am attaching a video file of the behavior I'm describing. All I did was click in the cell, move my mouse away from the cell, then hit the down arrow key a couple times. It stops after moving down one row.
If you have any questions or things you would like me to try, please let me know.
