Hello,
I use the xamRichTextEditor with text and arrays.
When I copy/paste the content, bold settings and style are missing.
Could you backup it and re-create in Word ?
Regards
Hi and thank you for posting!
I have been tested to copy styled text, hyperlinks and bold text between XamRichTextEditor and MS Word and the text was pasted with correct format within the editor and the Word document. Could you please let me know which the version of the controls you are using is so I can test with the same? Are you trying to copy from a WPF or Silverlight application? Silverlight platform has some restrictions that does allow only plain text to be copied and pasted.
I develop a software with WPF only. I use MS Word 2007.
My version of infragistics is : 14.2.20142.2178
Is there any requirements about MS Word ?
The clipboard operations are available for the MS Word 2007 as well as for the latest version of the product. I have tested this on my side with version 14.2.20142.2178 and the bold text was successfully copied and pasted between the XamRichTextEditor and an MS Word document. One thing that might be preventing you from achieving that goal is the missing serialization provider. You can add it like this if you haven’t done so already:<ig:XamRichTextEditor.ClipboardSerializationProviders> <ig:WordSerializationProvider/> </ig:XamRichTextEditor.ClipboardSerializationProviders>Let me know whether this helps.
Thanks for your help.
I use these references : http://gyazo.com/568680a7c6a9ab45eeeb06f17f1334c3
I have this array : http://gyazo.com/bfac3332a2f2c180886e2b24bf86b5d8
My code have the serializationProvider, and the result in MS Word is : http://gyazo.com/284705f0fd7dea7da71c29dd2721a7c7
The style isn't keep.
What is wrong with my config ?
Could you capture your result in word ? Gyazo is a free tool to capture and share screenshots.
Hi,
I have created sample application with a customized table and it was pasted in MS Word as in the attached screenshots. Could you please try to test using the sample project and let me know if the issue is reproducible on your side? If it is not could you modify the project or add your solution that illustrate the issue so I can investigate it further? Another thing to mention is adding the RTF and HTML serialization providers as well as the Word so the table borders could be copied as well.
Thanks for the little project.
I copy/paste your code, with all serializationProviders. The result is the same, I don't have any borders when I copy/paste it.
My question is about the menu, because you enable it with copy command and others. In my project, I disable it and use ctrl c/v.
Is these commands have a different behaviour that may cause my issue ?
My project is a big one and I can't share it. Here is a screen of the result : http://gyazo.com/616010546a696dc0494d372162f03901.
The first part is with your menu and copy, second is ctrl copy and paste.
It is a bit unexpected to have a different behavior for the operation within the context menu and the CTRL+C/V key combinations. On my machine running Windows 8.1 pasting in MS Word 2007 is working with both options and the formatting of the tables is kept. If you would like to check the implementation of the commands you can do so by registering a product key with your account and downloading the source of the controls by navigating to My Account->Keys & Downloads section. You may also check if the Word paste options have been modified on your side and ‘Pasting from other programs’ is set to a different value than ‘Keep Source Formatting’.
