The IOS App documentation states that the offline sync is interrupted when the app is sent to background.
Is there a plan to remove this limitation especially with IOS allowing 'Background App Refresh'?
This factor is one of the key decision points in us making a large purchase decision - so, all pointers to a solution would help. We want all the documents to be brought offline when-ever the IOS device has corporate connectivity without the end-user doing anything.
Regards
Hello Anand,
Thank you for your support request!
iOS allows processes to run in the background for 11 minutes. SharePlus will sync in the background for up to 7 so the app has a 4 minute window to finish downloading any large document or attachment.
I hope this answers your question.
Please don't hesitate contacting our sales team should you have further questions before purchasing.
Take care,
Thanks Javier for the clarification. However, I was also referring to the possibility of app performing a background fetch at regular intervals (say, 30 mins) when the connection to the share point portal is available. More specifically, please do refer to the 'fetch' feature mentioned in the following page:

Anand,
Thank you for the link. We have considered this before but we don't believe it is the right method. We've considered using Push but so far it hasn't found its way into the app roadmap.
You may vote this product idea: http://mobility-ideas.infragistics.com/forums/286545-shareplus/suggestions/3891753-more-aggressive-background-syncing-option
The more votes an idea gets the higher the chances of it becoming implemented. Please feel free to add your comments as well.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Have a nice weekend,
