Has anyone else seen this behavior?
Running Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate with Infragistics NetAdvantage 10.1 controls on Windows 7 Ultimate and after I added a WebDataGrid to my page, in design mode it says "Requesting Data..." in the bottom left of the VS2010 IDE. Won't go away ... and won't allow me to add any more Infragistics controls in Design View or Source View.
Not sure if it is specific to WebDataGrid. I also have WebSplitter, WebTab, and WebExplorer controls on the page.
Doesn't do this on an empty Web Form. See image below (blue circle cursor is also running when this happens).
Hello,
I took a look at this and was able to partially reproduce the issue you are having. I do see the 'Requesting Data' and the blue circle cursor running. However, the form is still functional for me - I can add controls, set properties, etc just fine. Can you provide more specifics to the scenario you are running? It would be helpful if you can provide the following information:
- Target framework of the project?
- WebApplication or WebSite?
- Are you using the 10.1 Release build (10.1.20101.1011), or a later Service Release?
Anything else you think is relevant will be helpful - a small sample project would help as well.

Using 10.1.20101.1011 (trial) and its the same over here, there is an update to fix it?
thanks
Hello Alejandro,
I tried this but I can only replicate “Requesting data…” part. My form stays completely functional. Would you send me a sample that shows your issue?

I have the same issue.
I add a webdatagrid (v 10.1.20101.1011) to a new ASP project (target .NET 3.5) in VS2010 on XP Pro SP3.
The first time, visual studio became unresponsive and I had to kill it from task manager.
The scond time it remained responsive but had the hourglass and says "Requesting Data..."
Also, If I save the app, close it and reopen it, I get the hourglass and 'requesting data' back.
