Hi Infragistics team,
I'm evaluating the possibility of using the pivot grid control in our real-time application. I downloaded the samples and when I played with the "Live Data Update" demo, it appears that every time the underlying data change, the pivot grid layout is refreshed. In particular, if I try to widen the column by dragging the column separator to the right, the column will revert to the original width when the underlying data are updated. This makes it quite difficult for the users to interacte w/ the pivot grid.
Questions:
(1) Is this the intended behavior?
(2) Is there a way to only update the data and keep whatever the column size (or the original layout) when the underlying data change?

Thank you for your email. I have been looking into you question and when you are adding items to the ItemsSource of the FlatDataSource, the data source needs to be refreshed, so the XamPivotGrid can be updated with the new items that are added. When the XamPivotGrid is refreshed, the UI is refreshed and it gets its default state. Currently, this is the behavior of the XamPivotGrid in this scenario. What I can suggest is submitting a Product Idea for the ability to update cells of the XamPivotGrid, without refreshing the whole XamPivotGrid. You can suggest new Product Ideas for future versions (or vote for existing ones) at http://ideas.infragistics.com.

Thank you for your reply. The Product Ideas are picked up for development based on the requests for the specific request. There is no exact time frame in which the Product Idea can be picked up for development and implemented.
