How do I apply Appstyles to a Windows Application upgraded using Version Utility
Hi,
I'm having some trouble understanding your question. Application Styles and the Version Utility aren't really related in any way I can see.
If your application is using Infragistics Windows Forms controls, then you apply a style to your app by calling the StyleManagerLoad method and passing in a file name or a stream containing a style library.
The Version Utility is for upgrading your application from one version of the Infragistics controls to another.
Oh... are you asking how to update to the new isl file? If you are using one of our isls, you just have to change your code to the newer isl file on your hard drive.
Good day, thank you for being kind enough to respond. What I meant is, I developed an application using default controls in Visual Studio 2013. I then installed Infragistics and upgraded my existing application using Version Utility. I now need to apply Appstyles to this project without having to redesign the application using new controls from Infragistics.
Well, if you want to use AppStyling on the Inbox controls (controls that come with the DotNet Framework), then you need to place an InboxControlStyler on your form. This will give you some limited styling capability for the form and the most commonly used controls like TextBox and Label. You will, of course, need to load a style library into your application that contains styling for those controls, also. I'm not sure if any of the isls that we include with the suite actually include styling for those controls. But you could create your own style using AppStylist.
Hello Admire,
I am just checking about the progress of this issue.
Let me know if you need my further assistance on it?
Thank you for using Infragistics Components!
