I'm using 13.1, webdatagrid.
It's a pretty basic setup. I've got a grid, it binds on the back end during a page_load, and then displays on a web page. There's not much else on the page other than a set of menus, and a button.
In IE8 it loads fine. In Chrome it loads fine, and behaves fine. In IE11, it loads, some of the formatting is a bit wonky (there are suddenly thick black gridlines that weren't there before) and when I select a row, it seems to be unable to relinquish the "drag" operation - any mouseover I make scrolls or drags the grid around and I can't unselect or select additional rows.
What's going on? Is this something I can fix?
Hello Eric,
Thank you for posting in our community.
I followed the steps that you suggested, I added WebDataGrid to the page with simple data source set in the Page_Load event, however I was unable to reproduce the behavior that you are describing. I am using NetAdvantage 13.1.20131.2331, which is the latest service release available for version 13.1. If you are not using this service release what I can suggest is downloading it from our web site following these steps:
1) Go to our web site www.infragistics.com and log with your account.
2) Click Support/Account in the top right corner of the page
3) You will see Welcome, [Your name] on the top of the menu that will appear. Click on the Welcome word.
4) This will lead you to My Keys & Downloads section. Select your product from the list
Under the Service Releases tab you will find the latest service release available for download.
I am also attaching the sample project I used to test this for your reference. I tested this under Internet Explorer 8, 10 and 11 and everything was displayed and working as expected on my side. Please test this project on your PC; whether or not it works correctly may help indicate the nature of this issue.
If this sample is not an accurate demonstration of what you are trying to achieve please feel free to modify it and send it back or send me an isolated, runnable sample of your own where this issue is reproducible.
I hope you find this information helpful.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions regarding this matter.
Using this code, I was able to successfully replicate the error - with the addition of one line of html:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
If I take that line out, it works normally. If I replace the "edge" with 10 or 11, I have the same problem. IE=9 works as expected.
Unfortunately I'm not sure I can take that line out of our production code without breaking numerous other things. I'm also still using 13.1.20131.2069, as an enterprise-wide update of our available components is way above my pay grade. Although if this is something that has been fixed in build 2331 I can certainly make the case to my superiors.
Thanks.
Thank you for getting back to me.
I tested the provided sample with the meta tag and version 13.2.20132.2331 and I did not experience any scrolling or selection issues.
Since the issue is not reproducible with version 2069 my suggestion is to discuss the upgrade with your supervisors.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions regarding this matter.
