Hi,
How do you position the placement of the drop-down of the multi-column combo box? The default places the dropdown below and to the left of the combobox. I would like the placement of the drop-down directly beneath the combobox (as I would expect it to be by default)?
Thanks,
Dan
Hello Dan,
Thank you for your post. I have been looking into it and I created a sample project for you following the scenario from the first link and everything seems to work ok on my side. If the sample doesn’t satisfies all your needs feel free to modify it, so it reproduces your behavior and send it back to me for further investigation.
Looking forward for your reply.
Hi Stefan,
Thanks for you response. I downloaded the sample application you provided and still experience the same incorrect behavior running it. I'm using Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate with Windows 8 Pro.
As an FYI, I also ran your sample application on my Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate Windows 7 box and it seems OK. Maybe the control has a problem in Windows 8?
Let me know if there's anything else I can provide to help diagnose this issue.
I have tested the sample on a Windoes 8 machine and everything seems to work ok on my side. I tested it using the latest service release of 13.1 (2032). If you are using an older one I can suggest you donwload the latest by logging to our web site and going to Account \Keys & Downloads.
Thank you for your feedback. I am glad that you have solved this issue.
Feel free to contact us, if you need any further assistance.
Hi Yanko,
Thank you for following up. When I went to rerun the sample application that customer support previously provided to diagnose this issue, this problem I was experiencing sinse installing the control a few weeks back "magically" disappeared. I hadn't explicitly updated the Infragistics controls. Further I haven't' updated Visual Studio or .net explicitly in the interim either (maybe some background update but none that I can detect). Annoys me not knowing what had changes resulting in the correct behavior...though i'm happy that is now working correctly.
Again, thanks for your time. Having recommended Infragistics controls on multiple projects to multiple clients..having good customer service in support of them will keep me recommending them. Please consider the matter closed on my end.
I have been looking into your issue and I have tested Stefan’s sample application on : VAIO Duo 11 Ultrabook and Samsung Windows 8 tablet and I have not managed to reproduce it.
Please download our latest Service Release from our web site -> Account -> Select the product -> Service Release tab and try to reproduce it on some other device.
Let me know your results.
We will need some time to test the behavior with the same enviornment. As soon as we tested it I will let you know.
Thank you for your patience.
Attached is a snapshot of the application you provided demonstrating the behavior.
I'm running
Computer: Microsoft Surface Pro
OS: Windows 8 64 bit
Memory: 4 GB
Visual Studio Ultimate 2012 (Visual C#) 11.0.60315.01 Update 2
Multi-monitor running (Surface is 1920x1080; external monitor 1920x1200)
I just opened and ran your application. I didn't apply any themes. Not sure if indirectly any themes would have been applied.
What else can I provide you?
