When only one point is contained in the series, the actual minimum and actual maximum values of the CategoryDateTimeXAxis are the same therefore there is nothing displayed, when you add the second point, provided it is on a new date, then there will be a range for the axis to display and the points will be shown. You can prevent this by setting a minimum and maximum value on the axis.
