Hi,
I need to build a column series XAMdatachart as shown in the attached figure.
- Is it possible to combine stacked column with regular column in the same xamdatachart?
- In the figure, D,E and F are reversed axis as compared to A,B,C. So I suppose A,B,C must be on left Y axis and D,E,F on the right Y axis?
- The starting point to display column D is the minimum of the three values;A, B or C.
- I wonder how can I display E and F..
Can you give some ideas on how would it possible to display such information?
Thanks and Regards,
Jay
Anything folks?
Hello Jay,
I have been investigating into a way to create a set of series like in your screenshot, and I would recommend that you take a look at the attached sample project.
In order to achieve this functionality, I would recommend using a StackedColumnSeries for categories A, B, and C, and a RangeColumnSeries for categories D, E, and F. In order to keep these series in the same sizing scope, I would recommend using a separate, but equal XAxis for these two "groups" as well, since the chart will try to make space for the StackedColumnSeries where the RangeColumnSeries is and vice versa otherwise.
Doing this, you can manually generate the StackedFragmentSeries that exist in your StackedColumnSeries' Series collection and set the underlying ValueMemberPath to double.NaN for the spots where there is no value. In this case, D, E, and F categories would not have any value for the StackedColumnSeries collection. Similarly, the values for the HighMemberPath and LowMemberPath of the RangeColumnSeries would not have a value for categories A, B, and C. Doing this should allow you to have single and multi-column parts of your StackedColumnSeries for categories A, B, and C and have the RangeColumnSeries exist for categories D, E, and F.
I have attached a sample project to demonstrate. I hope this helps you.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns on this matter.

Superb! This is much simpler than I envisioned it to be.
Thanks Andrew!!
