Put the Full Power of Online Analytical Process in Your Silverlight Apps
Get the facts straight with a Silverlight pivot grid that lets your users slice, dice and filter the multidimensional data of your OLAP cube, data warehouse, and Oracle® or Microsoft® SQL Server® Analysis Services, putting the full power of online analytical processing within your Silverlight applications. Our latest version of the xamPivotGrid improves performance and usability.
Creating multidimensional analyses has never been easier.

In this release we've made performance enhancements to deliver support for higher volume data and query parsing:
- Improved support for data with large number of members in hierarchy
- Improved the MDSX query that are executed against the SQL Server Analysis Server
- Tested against millions of records in SQL Server Analyses Server
Key Features at a Glance
- IsBusy Property – This new property displays an indicator showing the grid is loading data or is performing an operation. The feature is consistent with Microsoft’s DomainDataSource IsBusy property.
- Slicers - Our new Data Slicer lets you filter information quickly, in an interactive way. Why waste time figuring out what the data means and how it's shaped when you can simply pre-define the filter in a slicer, and provide your end users with a simple interaction/analysis model?
- OLAP Data Source – Give end users a true drill-down experience by integrating our xamDataChart control with an OLAP data source.
- Silverlight Business Intelligence – Our Silverlight OLAP Pivot Grid lets users work with multidimensional data (MDX) from your cubes, data warehouses from XMLA SAP and Oracle, or Microsoft® SQL Server® Analysis Services.
- Drag and Drop – Users intuitively drag and drop fields from the field selector onto the xamPivotGrid and rearrange the fields within row and column groups to see their data sliced and diced however they wish.
- Filtering – Let users filter the data so they see only the data pertinent to their analysis.
- Drilldown – Expand row and column fields to allow your users to drilldown into the data to extract meaning from the numbers.
- Summaries – Row and column groups are totaled in summary fields, so your users can make quick part-to-whole comparisons.
- An OLAP Pivot Table for Silverlight – Our Silverlight pivot grid delivers an engaging user experience that allows your users to do "crosstabs" and drilldown as they interact with data like in Microsoft Excel with full-featured online analytical processing (OLAP) support.
- Multidimensional Data – Unlock the potential of your data warehouses, your OLAP cubes and your multidimensional data stores.
- Drag and Drop – Users intuitively drag and drop fields from the field selector onto the OLAP pivot grid and rearrange the fields within row and column groups to see their data sliced and diced however they wish.
- Filtering – Since the amount of data can quickly grow overwhelming, the Silverlight pivot grid lets users filter the data so they see only the data pertinent to their analysis.
- Drilldown – Expandable row and column fields in this Silverlight pivot grid allow your users to drilldown into the data to extract meaning from the numbers.
- Summaries – Row and column groups are totaled by our Silverlight pivot grid in summary fields, so your users can make quick part-to-whole comparisons.
See our online Silverlight samples showcase for some of the many scenarios in which you can use the OLAP pivot grid control.
