TestAdvantage™ for Windows Forms (for IBM® Rational® Functional Tester) - 2011 Volume 1
TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (for IBM Rational Functional Tester) 2011 Volume 1 includes support for automated testing of the new ribbon customization functionality that was added to version 11.1 of WinToolbars™. You'll also see an improvement in your install experience, where you can now set the version being installed as the current version. TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (IBM) 2011 Volume 1 continues to keep your automated test scripts up-to-date with our latest Windows Forms features and functionality so you can always release with confidence!
WinToolbars™ Testing - Enhanced!
We have increased the number of subitems available to your automated UI test scripts of our new ribbon customization dialog, and added a new verification point. All of these new assets apply specifically to the ribbon customization tree, which appears on the right-hand side of the customization dialog.
The new subitems added for that tree include:
- GrabHandle - AtLocation("GrabHandle") identifies the grab handle on the left of a ribbon or ribbon group heading.
- NewGroup - AtLocation("NewGroup") identifies the "Create a New Group" link that adds a new ribbon group to a ribbon.
- Modify - AtLocation("Modify") identifies the Modify node button.
- Remove - AtLocation("Remove") identifies the Remove node button.
- Hide/Show - AtLocation("Hide") and AtLocation("Show") identify the Hide/Show node button.
A new verification point has been added named "Ribbon Customization Data". It represents the nodes in the layout tree on the customization dialog. Each node of this layout tree will have the following properties:
- CanBeModified - Indicates whether the ribbon item represented by that tree node can be modified.
- IsStockItem - Identifies whether that tree node is representing a stock item in the ribbon.
- RibbonItemNodeType - Specifies the ribbon item node type.
- Visible - Indicates if this tree node is visible to the user or not.
- data - Provides additional data relevant to this tree node's ribbon item node type.
Installation Experience - Enhanced!
We have made an improvement to the TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (IBM) installation experience. You previously needed to run the version utility to set the current version to that which you are testing. We have now made it possible for you to set the version that you're installing as the current version.
