Infragistics' Support for Microsoft Expression Blend

Infragistics has been working with Microsoft Expression Blend since it was known playfully by the codename Sparkle. During that time we've seen the interface and power of Blend grow and have taken advantage of the design-time features supported by the tool. We're working to ensure that the controls included with NetAdvantage for WPF behave inside Blend the way you would expect them to.

For example, at the request of the Visual Design Group, the Infragistics WPF Development Team has added additional brush properties to the smaller controls that make up the xamDataPresenter. These new brush properties are displayed in the Brushes Category of Blend and can be edited just like any of the default brushes. (See sidebar image) Because all of the NetAdvantage for WPF controls are native Windows Presentation Foundation controls, you have full style and template editing capabilities, all within Blend.

Live Previews

Live previews, including the advanced layouts offered by the xamCarouselPanel, provide real-time feedback as you make property changes. Moving forward, Infragistics will continue to enhance the design-time experience as Blend moves towards its v1 release. Stay tuned!
