Get the Release Candidate of NetAdvantage® for JSF components here!

As you may have learned at this year's JavaOne convention or through the dendritic grape vine of the blogosphere where Java developers tell their fellow Java developers what's hot, Infragistics is making available a special Release Candidate of the coming NetAdvantage for JSF 2008 volume 1 launch. We are all very excited about the new features we are adding, and wanted to put these bits into the hands of energetic and passionate developers like yourself just as soon as they were ready.

Great New Features for JSF Developers

This release candidate includes features that add to the depth and completeness of the NetAdvantage for JSF components including:

  • IBM® WebSphere®, JBoss® and BEA® WebLogic® Portal Support - We have worked hard to make sure our JSF components run on all of the major portals out there so that you can choose the best portal for your Web 2.0 application and not be tied down to any one particular choice! Switching between portals takes only a simple configuration change and no code. Additionally, whereas some AJAX controls break down just because they are running in a portal environment (are they really AJAX controls if they do that?), NetAdvantage for JSF controls fully support AJAX in a portal environment!
  • Dialog Windows - We have introduced a new JSF component to expand your tool set; the WebDialogWindow™ for JSF pops up a dialog in modern browsers that is unaffected by the presence of any pop-up blocking software. These dialogs can be modal or non-modal, and can contain anything from simple text content to expressive forms in their own right.
  • Improved Editability of Data Tables - Enhancements to the WebGrid™ — our JSF grid control that was already one of the most advanced on the market with its master/detail (hierarchal) data binding, smart refresh and smart paging, and other features — has catapaulted it to new heights. Cell editing, multi-column sorting, fixed (frozen) columns and AJAX scrolling deliver tremendous functionality.

We think you will be delighted with the consistent experience offered by our complete set of AJAX-enabled tools for this NetAdvantage for JSF 2008 volume 1 release. We want to hear what you have to say, so please tell us on our JSF Forums. Please note that developer support cannot answer questions about the release candidate until we ship the final bits, so if you need to find help for using this release candidate the included world-class documentation or the JSF Forums are the best place to go.
