Controls

xamSurfaceMap™

xamSurfaceMap is based on a NetAdvantage Silverlight control which Infragistics ported to WPF specifically for this NetAdvantage WPF for Microsoft Surface CTP. Our Microsoft Surface map control has the ability to rotate, zoom, and pan its map using contact-hand gestures. It also allows users to naturally select and drag elements from the map.


xamSurfaceChart™

xamSurfaceChart is a 2D and 3D chart control which supports more than 50 variations of charts. It fully supports WPF data binding, and includes built-in manipulation support for scaling, rotating, and applying 3D transformations on the 3D charts.


xamSurfaceDataCarousel™, xamSurfaceCarouselListBox™, xamSurfaceCarouselPanel™

The carousel controls include read-only grid views of data along a carousel path in xamSurfaceDataCarousel; ItemsSource binding in xamSurfaceCarouselListBox; and carousel scrolling in xamSurfaceCarouselPanel that serves as the foundation for all 3 controls.

 

Guidance for Microsoft Surface Developers

Infragistics provides two applications for testing and learning to developers who are creating instinctive, engaging and efficient applications for the Microsoft Surface environment.

The xamSurfaceFeatureBrowser™ is a Microsoft Surface demonstration and test application which highlights the manipulation support in the various NetAdvantage WPF for Microsoft Surface CTP controls. The source code for this application is included with installation.

Infragistics also provides xamSurfaceShowcase™ which is a Microsoft Surface demonstration application showcasing the inspiring potential of the NetAdvantage WPF for Microsoft Surface CTP controls. As the foundation for an informative application targeting prospective homebuyers, it enlightens its users about geographies they may choose to relocate while allowing them to experience Microsoft Surface:

  • Users can instinctively scroll through animated carousels of informative topics.
  • Users can engage any topics of interest by dragging them naturally onto a workspace that displays a relevant chart.
  • Users can efficiently collaborate by dragging any number of states from a US map onto this chart, in order to add their information about those geographies to the selected topic.
