Brings a Tear to Me Eye

Last night, we hosted the first of our newly rennovated NJDOTNET user group meetings.  The organization that Ed Blankenship has brought to our group is just great.  Tony Lombardo did a great job speaking on AJAX and web security, and Jess Chadwick was a big help handling some of the logistics.  All in all, I think it was a big success, and it was great to see so many people show up.

The thing about it that makes me so happy is that every person named in the foregoing paragraph is in my group here at Infragistics--the User Experience Group, a.k.a., UXG.  And just last week, Derek Harmon (also in UXG) presented at the NYC Code Camp; Ed Blankenship at the North Texas User Group.  It is a blast to get to work for a company that is so committed to supporting the developer community, and it's an honor for me to be leading such awesome guys who are so involved in that same community.  Great work, guys!

If you're organizing a community event, please let us know if you'd like us to sponsor or maybe even send a speaker.  We can speak about .NET, Java, software architecture, etc. in general, and if you want us to share how Infragistics can help developers, architects, and businesses be more successful, we're naturally more than happy to do that, too. :) Maybe we're going to be doing something near you--check the community calendar to find out.

Oh and, certainly not to toot my own horn but just in case you're interested, I'll be hosting an architecture chalk talk next month at NJDOTNET.  As it says on the announcement, come prepared with your opinions and prepared to share them!  We don't have a formal RSVP mechanism yet, so just send Ed an email to let us know you're coming so we can be sure to have plenty of pizza and prizes.
