Visit Infragistics at IDEA2009 Toronto Jason Beres [Infragistics] / Friday, September 11, 2009 Next week I'll be in Toronto with Sara Faatz, our Director of Partners & Alliances, at the IDEA2009 conference. IDEA2009 is described as: IDEA2009 brings together the world’s foremost thinkers and practitioners: sharing the big ideas that inspire, along with practical solutions for the ways people’s lives and systems are converging to affect society. These days, you can’t be socially engaging without considering the experience design. IDEA2009 brings together like-minded people who want to continue the exploration of Social Experience Design. This is a cool conference because it not only focuses on the importance of effective interaction design when building great software, but the entire social experience that takes place to make software even better. Social tools (or torments) like Twitter, MySpace, FaceBook, etc ... are shaping the way we interact and communicate, so how does this affect the software we build? Quince, our UX Patterns Explorer, is part of the social side of building software, its an online tool that encourages collaboration and sharing of ideas around design patterns that make up the user's experience. If you haven't explored Quince yet, I encourage you to check it out and participate. If you happen to be going to IDEA2009, come by our booth and say Hi. I'll be at the pre-conference on Monday, so shoot me an email firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet me @jasonberes if you're there.
