Regarding multiple error message when adding/editing row

Hello sir/mam ,

I am facing one issue i.e if I have a checkbox for a row on check of which a column become textbox/combobox. So, in starting if there was one error in that column and user checks the checkbox it becomes textbox. Then one more error is coming for text field but the previous is not removed. Apart from this , I am also facing issues like multiple error message for different columns in a row are coming at once sometime. Could you please help me with this

It looks like your issue is related to how validation messages are handled when the column switches between display and input modes. Make sure you clear or reset the previous validation errors before applying new ones when the checkbox toggles the field to textbox/combobox. Also, ensure each field has its own validation logic tied to the correct control state, so that multiple errors from different columns don’t stack incorrectly. Centralizing validation and triggering it only for the active control in that row should fix the problem.

Latching a Radial Menu Button (WPF/XAML)

I'd like to create a latching effect on a radial menus buttons. For example the user clicks on a radial menu item (button), the buttons style should visually remains in the "depressed/mouse-click-down" state until the user clicks the menu item again, ideally I'd also like to change the image that is associated with the button while in "depressed/latched" state as well. Can I do this with a style trigger and maybe a converter that toggles states between something like "latched"(true/false) if so any pointers on where to look.

I had another question related to the Radial Menu Button. Is there a way to "disable/enable" the menu close (or center button), like the true/false that's available as "IsEnabled" on the MenuItems? I'd like to disable closing that menu until a certain sequence has occurred.

Hello Brian,

I have been investigating the behavior you have described, and there are properties on the RadialMenuItem elements that I believe can help you to achieve this. Specifically, the InnerAreaFill, InnerAreaStroke, and InnerAreaStrokeThickness properties combined with the Click event should allow you to at least color the RadialMenuItem to create a “toggled” or “latched” effect on them.

Perhaps something you could also do in this case is to create a class based on RadialMenuItem that implements an “IsLatched” property that would be toggled on click, and then you could have a Style where you have a trigger for that custom class that changes the properties mentioned above if IsLatched = true.

I am attaching a sample project that demonstrates the custom derived RadialMenuItem described above.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns on this matter.

Install error - version 2014.1

I am upgrading a legacy program (written on Windows 7 PC). I'm currently running Windows 10 and need to install Infragistics 2014.1.

I receive error messages on launching the Infragistics 14.1 Platform Installer:

An error occurred while downloading ASP.NET. No URI for this file has been set. Please verify that there is an active internet connection and try again.

Is an offline installer available or is this product now entirely unsupported?

This error usually occur when you don't have internet. In order to run the platform installer you Should have internet.

No we dont have offline installer , you should have to download the platform installer form your Infragistics account.

Also make sure you have active license for the version 14.1, if not then please contact to sales at Sales@infragistics.com

I have been looking into your question and to ensure that it is addressed correctly, I need to ask for some additional information.

Could you please clarify what type of customization you are looking for?

Should it be related to the grid styling, for example, using different colors for the headers, cells, or any of the features like summaries, editing, etc?

If this is the case, what I can say is that for every feature, our documentation provides a styling section that demonstrates how the feature can be styled with custom styles via the exposed theme functions.

For example, the grid-theme function provides several parameters that allow customizing the grid content, for example, header backgrounds/foregrounds, row backgrounds/foregrounds, etc. Also, as another example, the summaries feature can be customized via the grid-summary-theme function as demonstrated in the Grid Summaries Styling section here.

Additionally, the grid styles can also be configured via a custom theme. More information that I believe you will find quite helpful on the matter can be found in our Global Themes and Component Themes topic.

Also, another approach to customize the appearance of the grid is via templates. An example can be observed in our Cell Editing Templates section here - if you proceed to edit any of the Race, Class, or Alignment columns by double clicking on a cell, you will notice that the IgxSelectComponent is used as an editor.

More information can be found in our Column Configuration section here. Also, if a certain feature provides templating, it will be mentioned in the respective topic, for example, in our Row Editing topic it can be observed that a Customizing Row Editing Overlay section is included here.

XamSpreadSheet Error

If I enter a bad formula into the WPF XamSpreadSheet, such as "=sum(1+...+50)", I get an endless display of error dialogs and am not able to clear or continue working on the formula. For all practical purposes it locks up our software.

How can I get out of this endless loop.

The API documentation links available on your site lead to forbidden or not found pages. I have experienced this only for the jquery ignite ui api documentation. I reference these pages regularly for my work and they are normally fine. I noticed this occur yesterday. If you could please restore the pages access.

Hello Kevin,

I would recommend you using the Windows Forms NuGet packages (“Infragistics.WinForms.Excel”), even though all of the packages use the shared Infragistics Excel Library, the ones for the ASP and Blazor are specifically designed for Web development, which is why I am recommending the WinForms option.
