I work for a company that has a subsite granted to us, on this subsite there is a list which opens fine on browser sharepoint, fine on ios shareplus, but on android; gets the error "The query cannot be completed because the number of lookup columns it contains exceeds the lookup column threshold enforced by the administrator (0x80070093)".
The list has only 6 lookup columns (including person and group columns), and I don't have permissions to change the threshold. However, it works on the ios version of shareplus?
The list will open perfectly from the android device's browser.
What can I do? (Apart from resort to the browser, which is awfully tedious for a phone screen).
Cheers for any insight, I appreciate your time.
Hello Cody,
Thank you for your support request!
This is probably due to a fix present in the iOS version not being implemented in the Android version.
Let me check with the developers and get back to you.
Regards,
Wonderful, thank you, Javier!
From memory, I believe ios version is 4.X.X, and android is only 2.X.X, judging from the forums I assume ios far more in demand than the android version.
If I can get our setup running on android, it'd be ideal, as a lot of the time it's being deployed on contractor's devices; and they can be either OS.
See what you can do, I appreciated your time and effort!
Cheers,
Cody.
It turns out there is a workaround for this, that will eventually become the regular behavior for the app: enable offline support for the list in question. This should fix all issues with the thresholds.
Please try this and confirm the workaround solves it.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Greetings, Javier!
Awesome news! Thank you for the info. :)
I'm just waiting for the fellow in particular to return to the office, (he's in another state at the moment), and then I can test it on his android device.
- You are referring to the offline support on *shareplus*, itself? As I was looking through the list settings in sharepoint, and "Offline Client Availability" is enabled for that list.
