Suggestion on any decent intranet solutions

Hey all,

Would anyone here be able to tell me of any decent intranet solutions?

Looking for:

  • Access to company forms e.g. annual leave, sick leave, long service leave, alcohol policy, employee induction forms
  • Noticeboard
  • Documentation library
  • File sharing, to replace existing network drives
  • Calander/shared calanders
  • Instant messaging functionality
  • Ability to have fine grain authentication on "groups" or areas


Could anyone point me in a direction? A lot of the portals seem to be based around project management, which isn't a bit need for us. I’ve also contacted a SharePoint intranet portal development team to help me with this. But I’d like to have your opinion on this matter too.

    Hi Roy,

    Let me tell you about SharePlus, our SharePoint and document management application. With it, if you have all of the above information on SharePoint, be that on lists of any kind or libraries, you can use SharePlus to access, synchronize and work them offline, sync back, create a workspace for the resources among many other features.
