When I doubleclick an item within a site, Shareplus opens the Properties sheet of the item. Not really what I would expect, and not what's really useful, at least to me.
As the preferences are pretty sparse, wouldn't it be nice if we could set the default behaviour that we want for the double-click:
-properties
-download
-edit
-view (read-only)
-checkout
-whateveroptionisalsopossible
Hi Simon,
Thank you for posting at IG forums!
You can double click the document's icon instead of the document's title:
-Double click item's name/title: opens item's properties
-Double click item's icon: opens document or item's attachments
I hope this helps.
Take care!
Hello Javier,
Thanks for your quick reply. Dividing the actions between the icon and the text is a workable solution (though not completely intuitive to me in the first place).
But when I doubleclick the icon of a document, even one that resides in a folder that I set to sync, nothing happens. I cannot fully rule out that we have a braindead sharepoint installation here.
Is there a kind of log somewhere, or an activity monitor, so I know what shareplus is doing in the background, and why it might fail at what it's trying to do?
thanks
simon
I have noticed that clicking the icon for, for example, a word file at the server, seems to do nothing, but I can right click the file and download into some appliation other than word and it works as expected.
On my system, there seems to be no way to edit a file, at the server, using any microsoft product, I have instead, to use the local copy which then requires a "save as". Why does this not work in the logical fashion?

No logs in SharePlus for Mac. Do you know how to use Charles Proxy?
