I have 17 document librarys set for offline mode - syncing.
Two of them continually show the red sync symbol. They never change to green - even though i can see them syncing. It always goes back red.
I have undertaken a "reset cache". No change.
I have removed offline mode on those two librarys, rebooted, and re-enabled offline mode. No change.
I have undertaken a side-by-side comparison of all the documents in both the Sharepoint library and what has synchronized to the iPad, and all files have successfully synced and are correctly working. But still no change.
What is going on? How to fix?
The other 15 librarys are fine. Green symbols everywhere. It's just these two stubborn librarys.
Please help.
James
James,
Thank you for contacting Infragistics!
May I know what settings are you using to sync?
Do you have exceptionally large documents?
Do any of the documents have a red sync symbol?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Sure thing. And it's now stranger, and i will explain, but let me answer your questions first:
Sync settings:
On "Do you have exceptionally large documents?": No. SharePoint server is set to maximum 20MB per file. In the "Construction" document library the biggest file is 17.4MB. There are 17 files in this document library that are between 6MB and 17.4MB, and the other 1328 files are less than 5MB each. In the "Construction" document library there are 1345 files and 520 folders - a total of 1865 items - with a total of 910MB for the whole document library.
On your other question of "Do any of the documents have a red sync symbol?": None. All show the green symbol.
Now this is where it gets weired...
Over the weekend the "Construction" sync symbol changed from red to green, so I thought all had finally fixed itself. But this is not the case.
Although the sync symbol is showing green, files have not synchronised. Let me explain:
SharePoint is showing a total of 1865 items:
When i open the "Construction" document library in windows explorer view, and do a select all and properties i see that this is split into 1345 files and 520 folder:
But when i look at SharePlus, even though the sync symbol is showing green it is only showing 1811 items. That 54 less than what SharePoint and windows explorer are showing.
I have compared the "Construction" document library files on SharePlus with those files on SharePoint and now there is indeed files missing on SharePlus. This is a real problem, as it means our people out in the field do not have all the files they are needing.
Do you know why this is occuring? Do you know how to fix it?
Does SharePlus, or the iPad for that matter, have any file, folder, or size limits?
This is very frustrating.
I hope you can help.
Thanks,
James.
Hi,
Is there any update on this issue, as it is still occuring.
Sharepoint document library item quantity doesn't match SharePlus document library item quantity - even though SharePlus is showing a green sync symbol.
My business team are getting incresingly frustrated with the problem and we need a resolution.
Please follow the steps in this post to enable and send us SharePlus' technical logs for this issue. Here, I will be able to make a list of all items that are being returned by SharePoint as a result of SharePlus' request for the current user.
I'd also recommend you to reset the list's cache to make sure this counter is accurate but I'd understand if you don't want to do this since it's a pretty big library and you've already synced all items.
After purchasing two licenses for SharePlus Pro, I learned that it was ineffective. Because it does not support offline syncing, I did not try it on the Lite version. | tree trimming Christchurch
