We have come across an error which only seems to be occurring on Android platform devices. The error is: “Server response has the wrong format. This may be due to an authentication problem.” When testing this same site with Apple devices there is no error.
Please share any troubleshooting steps/resolutions that you have for this error.

This usually happens when the site returns an HTML response instead of the expected response in XML format.
As you state, SharePlus iOS does have better support for these situations.
What authentication mode does your site use? What version of SharePoint are you connecting to?
