Bar Chart Color

Hello, In the 2d Bar chart (picture is attached), I want to replace the color coding as such. In the Legend, when value from Actual (represented in Green), is greater than Scheduled (represented in Blue), then the Actual bars should be in Red and the Scheduled in Green. But, if the Actual value = Scheduled value then the current Blue Green pattern remains, only when Actual is >Scheduled, should the bars be red and green. To do this, what am I missing? I am getting info for this chart through a Stored Proc and I know I have to use the ChartDrawItem event, but not sure how to check for values. Thanks

and the "Changing the Color of an Item Based on a Condition" section.

I believe there are row and column properites off the primitive that correspond to where in your DataTable the information is being pulled from. You can use that to do your comparison.

Thank you for the reply Sung Kim! I am already doing what you suggested with the box primitive. But the deal is I cannot compare the data value against a number. I have to compare one datavalue against the other. for eg. datavalue1 is less than datavalue 2 then....code Also, this piece of code throws me an error...type color is not defined. Dim ChartColors() As Color ChartColors = New Color() {Color.Red, Color.limegreen} chart.ColorModel.CustomPalette = ChartColors Any suggestions on the same will be appreciated. thanks P.S.: I need to know how to make the Color work, I think I can manage the primitive part.

That is why you are going to use your row and column properties to figure out where the data is coming from. If the bar corresponds to row 0, column 0, you know to compare it to the value in row 0, column 1. These row and column properties are located on the element that is passed into the arguments for the chartdrawitem event.

For your 2nd question regarding the error, the second "ChartColors" should not be there.
