Hi All,
I have a working scheduler based on an SQL Server DB and the stored procedures. I'm now trying to create a second scheduler based on a different set of Activity and Resource tables, but it is a no go. After much reading of articles and samples from the help site I decided to create a net new project and run it against the sample access DB. I found an article entitled "Binding to Access Data Source Control Using WebScheduleGenericDataSource" and followed its instructions exactly and modifying the sample DB structures to match what the article showed. However, at the end of the exercise I had a web page that displayed an empty calendar even though there are data records. Is this article out of data or is there something else I should be using?
The article in question is https://www.infragistics.com/help/aspnet/webschedule-binding-to-access-data-source-using-webschedulegenericdataprovider
Thanks,
Ian Plunkett

Hi Duane,
Unfortunately I was forced to givwe up on the CRUD statements a while ago and came up with an ineligant work around. As near as I can tell the CRUD statements either do not work when the DB has the stored procedures in it or else just plain don't work. I have not been able to find a working or workable solution for them at the very least. I have been refered to the document that you recommended several times and that is the document that started me down the path to using the CRUD statements in the first place. It appears to have errors; sqldatasource1 has a select statement without parameters, but 2 are specified.
At the point I have simply written off the CRUD idea as cruddy.
Thansk anyway,
Ian
Hello Ian,
You also have the option of databinding the WebSchedule using a DataSet. It also works with the WebScheduleGenericDataProvider. It shows how to handle Activities to add by the respective server side events.
Here's a link for more information: https://www.infragistics.com/help/aspnet/webschedule-binding-to-a-data-set-with-webschedulegenericdataprovider
Do you have any further questions on databinding the WebSchedule using a DataSet? This would work with using the WebScheduleGenericDataProvider.
