I have a webdatagrid control that loads in IE8, but any user interaction does not work. the child nodes dont expand, the items dont get the selected event, and the check boxes dont check or uncheck.
Some page works fine in latest Safari on Mac and Firefox on Windows browsers. I can add my site to the list of compatabilty view sites in IE8 and then it works, but that is not a good answer for me.
even the infragistics page for supprted enviroments fails to load what appears to be a webdatatree in IE8 without compatibility view (https://www.infragistics.com/support/supported-environments)
does this sound right?
Hi, there,
The answer is no: the WebDataTree doesn't require comp. view in IE8. Can you please tell us what version of the Infragistics control are you using?
its 10.3. I have only been able to see this on my machine. others users in development that have IE8 are not seeing it work fine without compatibility view. I am trying to figure out what is diffrent on my machine.
this is part of a bigger solution too. if I create a new project with nothing but a simple tree on it, it works fine. I will post if i find out what is unique to my machine (so far anyway).
thanks
to be clear, because my above post was not, others users in development that have IE8 ARE seeing it work fine without compatibility view
I understand, this has to be some specific misconfiguration for you. I hope you find out what the problem is soon :)
Sincerely,
