Hello,
I have a WebHierarchicalDataGrid inside an UpdatePanel. The grid has a parent and a child grid, I am adding a new row data in the grid by using a popup iframe technique. Now what I am doing is after adding the data I am refreshing the WebHierarchicalDataGrid via javascript by triggering an asynchronous button, but everytime the update panel refresh this weird empty row always appear on the top every visible rows.
I wonder what is wrong here. Or is there any way to update the WebHierarchicalDataGrid in client side?
Please check this screen shot after updating the grid via javascript.

This is a big problem since the empty row is eating some space. Especially if most of the child band rows are open. This might also annoy the current user.
Thank you and Best Regards,
Sherwin
Hi Sherwin,
That empty row is the row we use to maintain the width of the cells and columns. This problem has been reported and fixed I believe. Have you upgraded to the latest Service Release? If you have and the problem persists, then a sample reproducing this would be helpful for us to diagnose and fix the problem.

Hi David,
Thanks, I think my Company uses the latest version for ASP.NET which is 2010.3, I will try reproduce the scenario in a simple project. But basically just update the UpdatePanel via javascript after adding a row in a Table.
Thanks and Best Regards,
2010.3 is the version you use, but you could have the RTM version or an updated Service Release, which contain bug fixes (such as this) that happen after the initial release. Check your build number. 10.3.20103.xxxx. What is the xxxx? If it is a number in the 1000's, you have the initial release and need to upgrade for sure. Even if you have one that starts in the 2000's, a Service Release, it may not be the latest one. Please check your downloads that are avaialble with your key at the main infragistics website.

Hi Dave,
I highly appreciate your reply, Thanks. But I'm afraid I won't be able to search on how to check the current version of my ASP.NET Infragistics and how to upgrade to a newer service release. I wonder if there is a published article that shows how to do service upgrading.
I realized that I am a bit late, but just in case - if you still need it:
