I'm answering these questions in the order they were asked.

1. BarColor of appointment can be controlled by modifying the Appointment.BarColor. However, to change the Appointment background color BackGround color property off the Appearance object can be used.
2. Yes, Gradients can be used. They are off the Appearance object of Appointment.
3. No, the bar cannot span multiple lines.
4. The Appointment bar can handle click events. Two events that are fired when clicked on Appointment are AppointmentEditModeEntered and AppointmentEnteringEditMode.
5. The row color can be controlled by setting the WorkingHourTimeSlotApperance or NonWorkingHourTimeSlotApperance off the TimeLineView object depending on your requirement.
