Thank you for contacting Infragistics. I reproduced the behavior. It appears the UltraGrid is capable of showing some hidden characters, not all, based on some resource collection of glyphs and it looks as if it doesn't know they were hidden from Excel to begin with. I haven't seen this type of behavior before.
1. I haven't found a way to turn off special characters from Excel or the clipboard.
2. I haven't found a way to turn off special characters from the UltraGrid.
The confusing part is Excel allows for "invisible" hidden special characters to be copied and pasted in the first place. So while it's possible that the end user doesn't see them, they're still there and exist in Excel from cell to cell including NotePad and vice versa.
The clipboard copies and pastes everything. So your best solution is to trim the clipboard to remove all hidden characters from Excel. But my guess is that that would interfere with the paste operation from Excel.
I'll continue looking into this and follow up tomorrow.

Hello Michael,Thank you for your answer. But, when we had version 13.1 all worked fine. Now we have v. 16.1 and it does not work.
We want to update to last version! Can you please let me know if this is working there?if no - can you please give us a small example how to do this:

Thank you for following up. I still reproduced the behavior in 13.1. The Clipboard contains the new line break.
You may handle the grid's FilterCellValueChanged event and change the value of the FilterCell exposed by the event arguments by using Regex to trim the clipboard's text where it finds "\r\n". In theory you can do this for any symbol or special character.
eg.
private void Grid_FilterCellValueChanged(object sender, FilterCellValueChangedEventArgs e) { var text = Clipboard.GetText(); e.FilterCell.Value = Regex.Replace(text, "\r\n", ""); }
