Hi,
I'm looking for samples on how to use Coded UI framework to be able to select rows and click cells in the UltraGrid version 17.2.
From my initial test the grid rows seem to expose expandcollapse & scrollitem patterns. I would like to be able to perform row selection, click & double click operations on them. Please advise on how to achieve this.
thanks,
Reshma
Hello Reshma,
I would begin by recording the grid's selection and clicking operations you need scripted before attempting to write your own. I strongly encourage you to watch this video on youtube to ensure everything is setup prpoerly. You also may need a registered key to actually install the CodedUI assembly onto your machine.

Hi Michael
Thanks for your response.
I've made progress on writing automated tests using UIA for the ultragrid. The grid shows up in the uia visual tree as a tree within a pane. Using the tree control type I can navigate to the rows & cells within the grid.
Here's the problem. There are sporadic instances where the visual control tree "loses" the tree within the outer grid pane and ceases to show the rows within. The ultragrid on the application being tested appears to work fine without any issues.
I've made an upgrade from Infragistics v8.2 to the latest 17.2 just for UIA support. Please advise on how to resolve this issue.
Thanks,
