I upgraded my winforms bundle to v20.1 - I have two questions
1 - how do I achieve the docking user experience like visual studio 2019 ? main docking pane as the main working form , and by default i would have multiple windows docked bottom, docked left and docked right - i would like users to drag/drop their own area panes and dock as they wish - i would remember these docked settings and reload the next time my winforms app restarts
2 - i am using appstylist - but using the office 2017 blue skin - because thats what my users like - in design time i see the form border all nice and blue - however when i run the app on windows 10 - the form border reverts to windows 10 theme settings and the appstylist theme , which is also applied to the ribbon control , does not hold the style for form border - note: the ribbon control retains the office 2017 blue theme
Could you please guide with the above two?
I had a look at your issues with dockmanager docking and the appstylelist.
I should have an answer to your first question soon I do have an answer to your second.
To your issue with the appstylist there is no office 2017 blue option. I have a picture of a sample with the office 2007 blue theme. You will be able to see that the appstylelist applies only to the pane and not the form itself which is working correctly. If you would like to change the form itself, you may be able to use the UltraFormsManager manager.
Thank you for your response Nicholas
You are right about office 2007 blue theme and ultrawintoolbarmanager
I wanted to bring your attention to this - notice how the form border in visual studio looks when applying the toolbar manager with a ribbon :: in visual studio , it looks blue, much inline with the office 2007 theme
versus - notice how the form border looks when it runs in windows 10 - notice that the office 2007 blue theme applies to the ribbon, however the form border is using underlying windows theme
Is there a way to enforce form border style to use the office 2007 theme instead of underlying windows theme?
You may need to set the OS theme to false like here: https://www.infragistics.com/help/winforms/styling-removing-os-themes
