I have a grid with row filter.
When I select a couple of rows(event a single row) and then clicking on row filter the grid clears all selected rows. Even if do not change a filter.
I would like to have a functionality like Excel has:
If you select rows then apply a filter - it does not clear your selection.
I write some code to remember selected rows but....i don like it couse it requires too much additional tricks to save-restore selection
There is currently no way to do this. The WinGrid will not allow you to maintain the selection once any cell enters edit mode - and that includes filter cells.

I have the same issue in Infragistics 11.1.
Will this be solved in one of the future versions? Or are there other suggestions to avoid this?

This is not a bug, it's the intended behavior of the control. So there's no "fix" planned. This is something of a basic assumption in the design of the control. You can't have selection while a cell is in edit mode.
It would take a bit of effort, but you could work around it, in a way, by not using the built-in selection of the grid and implementing your own. You could maintain your own list of 'selected' rows and then color those rows in the InitializeRow method so they appear selected. But this would mean re-implementing the entire range of selection behaviors. It's no small task.
