I get an error trying to install the asp.net and windowsforms help files..
It says i don't have vs2005 or vs2008 so it won't install..
this your version 2010.1
Do we need to have VS on my machine to view Help. I have dexplore installed on my machine. I dont think it is valid. I cannot ask my customer to install VS on their machine to view the help.

i just download the latest help from my account
the file name is NetAdvantage_Winforms_20102_help.exe 166,290
when i install it, it reports "2005 and 2008 VS not installed" and terminates
i then downloaded NetAdvantage_WinClientWithSmaplesAndHelp_20102.exe 478,274
the installation link for Winforms help terminated with "VS 2005 and 2008 not installed", however the help install link for WPF worked ok.
I have windows 7x64 and VS2010 - is there some way i can get the help loaded...? I believe the problem is simply in your setup programs options
and no, i do not want to use online help!!!

When you jump back to your account and to your download list, look for a file named:
NetAdvantage_WinForms_20102_VS2010Help
This is the one for Visual Studio 2010. The one that you downloaded is designed for VS 2005 / 2008 only. Let me know if this work out for you. Also, there are some steps required to install this help system into Visual Studio 2010. Please check out this blog to see how it is done.
