Hi! Is it possible to create from grid, a control which looks like a Property Grid, but is unbound with any object? I'm looking for a functionality of grouping rows. Groups must be a expandable (like in PropertyGrid). I would like to add rows dynamically. Just like at print screen: I would like to create two groups: green and red and this groups should have expander button.

Hi,
I'm not sure I understand your question. If you want to do something like a property grid, then there is a sample of this using UltraWinTree under the Tree samples.
The WinGrid cannot be used unbound, it must have a DataSource, but that doesn't mean you need a DataBase, you could create a Datatable in code or use an UltraDataSource or a BindingList<T> of your own custom type.
Maybe I wrote to much:) All I want to have is to create groups like on prt sc (red and green). This groups should have expander buttons to hide info in this group. Lets skip grid's DataSource.
I'm still not sure I understand. You want to expand/collapse the area circled in green independent of the area circled in red? There's no way to do that in the WinGrid.
Ok Mike, I know now what I want to do! I have to make Property Grid. It should have two columns first it will be string column like "PropertyName" and second "PropertyValue" but...I need a different types in each row in PropertyValue column like UltraDropDow, UltraCheckEditor, bool etc. And now I'm afraid it is not possible do create a data source like MyDS<string, object>. It looks like this:
There's a sample that does this under the UltraWinTree samples.
Ok it works. Thx Mike!
