I'm working with the Infragistics.Documents.Word library to generate a formatted MS Word document. I'm running into an issue with some of my users have Office 2007 and Windows XP, and they're getting an error when trying to open the document. I really think this is due to the default ".docx" file type provided by the Infragistics library.
I was wondering if there was a way to specify the document type to be that of ".doc" rather than the ".docx". Does this functionality exist in the library? I'm using Infragistics 11.2.
You could specify that the file extension will be .doc in the 'Save()' method, like this:
Document doc = new Document();

I now checked that again and the document is being opened but not displayed properly so, after some research, the "Ability to save a document with .doc extension" has been determined to be a new product idea. I have sent your idea directly to our product management team.
